Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my slime so sticky?
Ooooh, you got a clingy one! Slime can get sticky if it's warm, over-handled, or if your hands are damp. Pop it in the fridge for a few minutes, make sure your hands are clean and dry, and give it a few good squishes, it should settle down. Still too sticky? Add a spritz of our Consistency Controller and knead it like a boss.
How do I get slime out of clothes and hair?
Oops! Slime attack! Don’t panic, getting slime out is totally doable. For clothes, gently scrape off the excess, then soak the spot in white vinegar and rub it with your fingers or a soft brush before tossing it in the wash. For hair, use conditioner or a bit of oil (like coconut or olive oil) and work it through with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Slime happens, but it doesn’t have to stay forever!
Does it stick to toys and surfaces?
Slime is a playful troublemaker. It can stick to toys, surfaces, and even your favourite shirt if you're not careful. To keep the mess manageable, play on smooth, wipeable surfaces like trays or tables, and avoid fabrics, rugs, or wallpapers. If slime does make a surprise appearance on your belongings, don't panic! First try dab it with a piece of your slime and if that doesn’t work, a splash of white vinegar and a gentle scrub should do the trick.
Why is my slime hard?
Uh-oh, looks like your slime's feeling a little stiff! It might have dried out from being left out too long or because of a bit too much activator. No worries, though! Just add a few drops of water or a bit of lotion, knead it, and it should soften right up. Give it a little TLC, and it'll be back to its stretchy self in no time!
Is this slime gluten-free?
We’re all about safe, squishy fun, but to be extra cautious, we can’t guarantee that our slimes are 100% gluten-free. If you have gluten sensitivities or allergies, we recommend keeping your slime time away from any risk, just to be safe! Better safe than sorry, right?
Is this slime taste-safe?
We get it, kids (and adults) sometimes want to sneak a taste. While our slimes are made with mostly non-toxic ingredients, they're not for eating. They're safe for play, but not for munching. So, let's keep the tasting to snacks and the squishing to slime!.
Is your slime non-toxic?
Our slimes are made with safety in mind and contain mostly non-toxic ingredients, but we don’t label them as fully non-toxic. Why? Because we use a small amount of borax (the slime activator). While borax is safe when used properly, it's not officially classified as non-toxic.
That said, borax is not absorbed through the skin and must be ingested in large quantities to be toxic. In fact, ounce for ounce, salt is more toxic than borax. Still, we believe in being transparent and cautious, especially when it comes to young children and sensory play.
Our slimes are designed for supervised use, are not edible, and should be kept away from eyes, mouths, and pets. We always recommend washing hands after play and storing slime properly. When in doubt, reach out. We're here to help.
Is your slime natural?
We wish we could say it's natural, but like most slimes, ours are a blend of fun and science. While we use non-toxic ingredients, there is nothing natural about slime.
What’s that amazing smell? What fragrance do you use??
Our slimes are scented with high-quality, synthetic fragrance oils that are cosmetic-grade and skin-safe, the same kind you'd find in body lotions or bath bombs. So while our slimes aren’t made for your face (please don’t do that), the scents are safe for skin contact during play.
We get asked all the time, “What is that scent?!” it’s a blend of fun, freshness, and a pinch of slime sorcery. We don’t reveal every secret note (a magician never tells!), but rest assured: each fragrance is hand-picked to match the personality of its slime and to delight your senses.
How long does slime last?
Slime isn't forever, but with a little love, it can last from a few weeks to a few months. Here's how to keep your slime in top-notch condition:
Seal it tight: Always store your slime in an airtight container to prevent it from drying out.
Stay cool: Keep your slime in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Clean hands only: Wash your hands before and after play to reduce contamination and extend its life.
Moderate playtime: Limit play sessions to 10–15 minutes a day to maintain its texture and elasticity.
If your slime becomes hard, sticky, or develops an off smell, it's time to say goodbye and get a fresh batch. Remember, slime is a temporary treat—enjoy it while it lasts!
What age is slime good for?
Slime is a sensory delight for all ages. While it's generally safe for children aged 7 and up, younger kids can join the fun too, with adult supervision. For little ones under 7, it's best to keep an eye out to ensure they don't taste-test the slime or get too messy. Always supervise children during slime play, especially if they're prone to putting things in their mouths.
